Road Trip: The Final Day

So we finely made it to June Lake. What a trip! I hope you all have enjoyed following the trip via my blog. I am going to be visiting family the next week or so, but make sure to stay tuned for more regular posts. If you ever make it out that way I highly recommend checking out Fern Creek Lodge. Its an awesome little spot that is family owned and operated super close to the mountain, and has the only convenience store for miles (and the closest grocery store is 27 miles away).

Go There:
Fern Creek Lodge- 4628 Highway 158, June Lake, CA - (760) 648-7722

Road Trip: Day 7

After leaving ABQ we headed to the south rim of The Grand Canyon. Its a bit of a drive to get up there, but I don't have to tell you that its worth it. Pictures will never do it justice, maybe the IMAX film they have at the visitors center, but nothing that I could ever take.

Go There:
Grand Canyon National Park - Grand Canyon, AZ - Take I 40 to Rt. 64N and drive 60 miles until you reach the entrance. I recommend that you stop at the visitors center and purchase your entrance ticket there, as to bypass lines at the main gate.
