Architecture: Burano

This was from a trip that I took several years ago to the island of Burano (one of the islands adjacent to Venice). I much prefer to visit this island than Venice for many reasons. The most prevalent is that it is drastically less touristic. While its main form of income is still from tourism, the people who inhabit the island are much kinder and their attitudes are much more relaxed. It is known for its colorful houses and producing hand made lace. I truly recommend taking a half day to explore the area.
