Freedom to Create Exhibition

On the Security Fence that protects Israel from terrorist attacks, Artists 4 Israel’s BELIN OGT and Bik Ismo paint an Israeli child asleep, dreaming of a day when Israeli and Arab youth can break down walls and exchange gifts.
In Hebron, a child gives an IDF soldier an artistic respite from the pressures of defending the innocent men and women of his country. Artists 4 Israel believes in creation above destruction. We make art, not war.
I am proud to announce that two of my images have been selected for an International exhibition called Freedom To Create. The show starts in Cape Town, South Africa and will move from there. Below is more information about the exhibition.

Freedom to Create Exhibitions celebrate the transformative power of the arts to heal, inspire and build social capital. It is a physical manifestation of how creativity is being used to drive social change around the world.

Each year, a selection of highly commended entries for the Freedom to Create Prize is chosen for a touring exhibition, which travels across the world. The Exhibition aims to bring messages of courage, creativity, unity, reconciliation, healing and hope from around the world to new audiences. It addresses the importance of empowering dreams to transform lives, and celebrates the power of art to confront barriers to prosperity.

The Exhibition also offers participating artists the opportunity to bring their messages to an international platform. Previous Freedom to Create Exhibitions have toured London, New York, Harare, Kabul, Cairo, Mumbai, Sarajevo and Xiamen, where the exhibition has enjoyed tremendous success and acclaim.

365 Project - Day 155

Happy Thanksgiving (to my American readers). It became a tradition a while back, that I would go Hunting with my Uncle Thanksgiving morning. I don't get out there every year, but I really love when I do. To see images of him and more from the day click here.
