I know I am way late on this, but I forgot. My good friend and Producer Ricardo Riethmuller threw a fantastic bash at his loft to celebrate The Oscars.

Reportage: Cherry Blossom Trees

It's that time of year again, well its about a month early, but the cherry blossom trees are in full bloom. Branch Brook Park in Newark, NJ may see like an unusual place to find over 14 varieties of more than 4000 cherry blossom trees. Did you know that it in fact has more cherry blossom trees than Washington DC If you are around at the end of April the park plays host to an annual festival.

Night Out: UR New York and Criff Dogs

Like most of my life, last night was centered around food and art. Starting out at Criff Dogs in the East Village for some of their famous franks with crazy toppings. After that we headed over to SOHO for the opening of the UR New York show Breaking & Entering. The guys did an fantastic job of turning the gallery into their own graffiti clad world. The people watching was almost as good as the art (check out the awesome blazer in shot 9). After closing out the gallery and a quick stop at Sweet & Vicious for a round of drunks, we ended up at Café Habana for the best grilled corn in the city.

Congrats Fernando and Mike!

Inspiration: Rupert Deese Exhibition: Array 1000

Last week I had the pleasure of being invited to the opening of Rupert Deese's most recent exhibition Array 1000 at the Nancy Hoffman Galley. It was a great show of his large format woodcut prints. If you are in the city its worth heading down to the gallery to check out.

Reportage: Raku Firing

What better way is there to spend a chilly Sunday afternoon than to light things on fire (not to mention drinking Baileys spiked Hot Coco)! My good friend Keith Grabowsky, who is a very talented ceramist invited me to watch a Raku firing he was doing of a clients work.
